Bruka Opens The 20th Season With Macbeth

BRÜKA THEATRE Proudly presents ~  MACBETH

POWER INTRIGUE DEVASTATION

(Reno, NV). The first play of the 2012-2013 season, Macbeth roars into October with a new vision by director Joe Atack. “Imagine a time and place not too far from our own. A country devastated by civil war where the fate of the nation hangs in the balance - this is where we find ourselves in Macbeth. In strange, uncertain and dangerous times the Macbeths seize power bringing with them a reign of blood and terror.  Fusing elements of the modern world and the past this production will follow the Macbeths into the darkest corners of the mind, as Shakespeare continues to prove the master of exploring the human condition”.

Written by William Shakespeare in the early 1600s, Macbeth was the first play Brüka produced in its current space at 99 N. Virginia Street in 1997.

Macbeth runs October 12 through October 26, 2012, Wednesday through Saturday shows at 8 PM with a Sunday matinee performance on October 14 at 2 PM.  Special to this performance, Attack will host a “Shakespeare Conversation” at 1:00 before the Sunday performance.  The customary matinee talkback with the company will immediately follow the performance.
