Reno, NV.   Brüka Theatre’s 26th Season: A Classic Revolution comes to a show-stopping close with a magical, musical‐comedy: Victor/Victoria. The setting is Paris, 1934 for this marvelous musical fable about mistaken identity, sexual roleplaying, love, innocence and sight gags. In August 1998 A US National tour started in Reno, Nevada, starring Toni Tennille.

THE STORY:  When refined British soprano Victoria Grant finds herself down on her luck in Paris, she discovers to her dismay that producers and nightclub owners are looking for a sound that is much less “legitimate” than hers. On the brink of starvation, she is rescued by Toddy, a warm, generous, and flamboyant nightclub singer, who gets a brilliant idea: dress Victoria as a man, and pass her off as a female impersonator, where she will delight the whole of Gay Paree with her eerie gender‐bending and astonishing vocal range.

All Brüka mainstage evening shows now begin at a new time: 7:30 PM. Matinees begin at 2:00 PM. Doors open ½ before curtain time.  Brüka was named “Best Local Theatre Company” by The Reno News & Review for the 21st year in a row.

PRICES:  General admission: $26.  Admission for Students/Seniors/Military: $24.  All tickets are $30 at the door.
