Reno, NV . John Cameron Mitchell’s and Steven Trask’s cult musical Hedwig and the Angry
Inch continues the 25th anniversary season of Brüka Theatre and the 10th season of Good
Luck Macbeth with a dual theatre company collaboration opening on April 20th 2018. The
show will be performed at Good Luck Macbeth’s new space at 124 West Taylor Street in
Reno, Nevada.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is an everyday tale of Gummi Bears, betrayal, a botched sex
change operation, and the quest to find true love. One of the few rock operas that actually
rocks, this outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious rock musical tells the story of Hansel
Schmidt, a slip of a girlyboy from communist East Berlin who becomes Hedwig Robinson,
‘the internationally ignored song stylist barely standing before you’. Her journey to find true
love, and her other half, takes her across the world and from man to woman.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is an outrageously hilarious musical directed by
Bill Ware. Featuring Joe Atack and Amy Ginder with music by Stabby Unicorn with Nick
Ramirez.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch opens with a postshow champagne reception and appetizers
from the Wild River Grille on April 20th, 2018. The show runs weekly Wednesday through
Sunday through May 12th, 2018. Evening shows begin at 8:00 pm (Artist night is Wednesday
April 25th, 2018 – all tickets on this night only are $10.) There is one Sunday matinee on April
29 that 2:00 PM followed by a talk back with the company and our audience. The doors open
a half an hour before curtain time. The play is suggested for ages 16 and up.
